Jane Sirmons is a former LPGA Tour Player and 2004 PGA Teacher of the Year, Southwest Chapter of the North Florida Section PGA. She has been a PGA Class A Member since July 2000. She is a veteran teaching professional of 17 Years with 800+ lessons per season! Jane is a former LPGA Teaching Professional and a Callaway Staff Member for many years. She attended the prestigious PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit in 2002 and 2006. Jane is currently our Regional Director/Teaching Professional of the North Florida Section in our Southeastern Territory.

Safety Tip: Only swing on the driving range mats, not behind the safety line!
Golf Course Etiquette: Kids, rake the bunkers when you leave, and only enter and exit in the lowest point!
Golf Mimics Life: Setting goals in life give you a direction, a path, and a game plan. Setting goals on the golf course is the same thing. Kids for every hole, your goals are to reach the fairway, the green, and the hole! Good direction and path are important in the golf swing, and good direction and path in life are just as important. Set a game plan for the hole on the golf course. Set a game plan for your day. Take one hole at a time. Take one day at a time. Give it your best shot!
Practice tips: Practice Smart! Kids you must practice the right way in order to improve! Spend more time practicing your putting, pitching, and chipping. At least 70% of your score is spent with the short game, and 30% with the full swing. Do not go to the driving range to hit your driver to see how far you can hit it! You may only hit your driver 8 times when you play. Manage your golf game and practice sessions wisely.
The Rules of Golf: Kids, knowing the rules of golf will save you strokes! Don't be afraid to read the rule book and apply the rules to your round of golf. Kids, know this rule; it is a two stroke penalty if your golf ball hits the flagstick when your putting! Remember to take the flagstick out, and carefully place it off of the putting green!
