The Better Golf Academy Kids division is dedicated to pioneering junior golf. Our first and primary goal is to provide children with the opportunity to learn the game of golf at their local elementary school. This is because we believe that along with academics, sports and recreation are an integral part of becoming a well-rounded child. The Better Golf Academy provides children the opportunity to explore and experience the exciting world of golf, while retaining an in school environment. This enables the child to take golf lessons without having to travel to a golf course or pay costly green fees or invest in golf equipment. We are aware that some children would have never been introduced to the game of golf had it not been available at their elementary school. By bridging the gap between school and the golf course, The Better Golf Academy makes it possible for children to discover their athletic ability through golf. We enable children to explore and enjoy playing golf at a young age in the hope that their interest will lead to greater discipline.
 
The Better Golf Academy Today- Curriculum Includes; six-step system and proven formulas. 

What sets us apart from the competition is that our executive staff is made up of golf professionals with decades of experience in their field. The executive staff not only teaches at our schools, but trains our instructors and Regional Directors/National After School Golf Enrichment Coordinators in our philosophy. We teach A-List celebrities and their children in the Los Angeles area. Prominent clients trust us with their children.  We actively use The Better Golf Academy's Better Golf For Kids Volume I DVD for both training our instructors and for educating our students. The Better Golf Academy works collaboratively with educators in order to bring the best golf instruction to schoolchildren. Angelica, wife of BGA founder James Pugliese, is a credentialed elementary school teacher with a Masters Degree and oversees the implementation of the program and contributes to the curriculum. The curriculum is designed so that children will learn all aspects of golf, from etiquette, to full swing, to putting in a manner that children can understand. The Better Golf Academy’s golf curriculum is designed to coincide with academics. Students are encouraged to apply what they have learned from golf class into the classroom. For instance, students in the after-school program learn “hands-on” about scoring, distance, and estimation-concepts that can be applied to their daily mathematics activities. As children learn about the difference between irons and woods, they also acquire first-hand experience about science and physics. Of course, understanding golf language such as par, eagle, undulations, also enhances each student’s language-arts skills. Children get more than golf lessons from our after-school golf class. Aside from academics, students of The Better Golf Academy also learn important life-skills. Since golf is a “quiet” sport, it requires self-control and mental preparation. The students at the Academy are encouraged to be levelheaded, calm, and patient. Students learn how to be honest with their scores and practice good sportsmanship at all times. The Better Golf Academy continues to implement, improve, and update its instructional manual and strategies with input from leading golf professionals. The Better Golf Academy continues to grow as one of the most dynamic national after-school at school golf enrichment programs in the world.
